Subscription

The Chicago Daily Drop is a continuous monthly subscription. The founding offer charges $19 for the first monthly invoice using a one-time discount, then $39 every month until canceled. There is no minimum term. Cancel through the secure billing link included in subscriber email before the next billing date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current paid period unless checkout states otherwise.

If the founding month contains no plausible opportunity matching the saved material filter, request a refund by replying to any Salvage Signal or Stripe receipt within 14 days after that month ends. “Plausible” means a correctly delivered public permit lead that reasonably matches the selected filter; it does not promise access, inventory, a sale, or profit.

What the service is—and is not

Salvage Signal ranks public permit records as prospecting clues. It does not grant site access or permission to contact, enter, inspect, remove material from, or perform work on property. Users must independently confirm ownership, authorization, timing, hazards, material condition, licensing, insurance, and applicable law. Scores are not engineering, environmental, safety, valuation, legal, or tax advice.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful professional prospecting and material reuse. Do not trespass, misrepresent affiliation, evade site controls, harass a listed contact, create an unsafe visit, or resell the raw public-data feed. Automated agents may consume the output only under the supervision and responsibility of an authorized human or business.

Availability and liability

Municipal records can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable. Delivery and ranking are provided on an as-available basis, and permits may become stale before they are seen. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Salvage Signal is not responsible for decisions, travel, bids, lost inventory, property access, site conditions, or indirect losses arising from a lead. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

Information collected

The service stores email address, professional role, market and material preferences, subscription and delivery state, limited Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, message-delivery records, and outcome feedback. Stripe processes payment details; Salvage Signal does not store full card numbers. Fastmail or another contracted email provider processes subscriber messages for delivery. Netlify provides hosting, serverless processing, and structured object storage.

How information is used

Information is used to operate checkout, deliver requested alerts, suppress duplicates, improve ranking, provide support, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. It is not sold as a mailing list. Data may be disclosed to service providers that operate the product, when required by law, or in a legitimate business transfer subject to these protections.

Choices and retention

Every Daily Drop includes links to pause delivery and manage or cancel billing. You may also reply to a service or receipt email to request access, correction, or deletion. Records are retained while the subscription operates and afterward only as reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.

Seller and contact

The seller’s legal name, billing contact, and postal details appear in Stripe Checkout, receipts, and subscriber email. Reply to any of those messages for service, privacy, refund, or cancellation help. Material changes to price or these terms will be disclosed before they take effect when required.
